It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Greenfield, aged 96, on 14th June.
John was a true Lurgashall ‘village boy’. He was born in the parish, went to Lurgashall School in the 1930s-early 1940s and spent his whole working life farming at Upper Roundhurst Farm.
He and his beloved wife Betty lived at Holly Tree Cottage on Tennyson’s Lane from 1951 until Betty’s death in 2012.
Our sincere condolences to John’s nephews and nieces.
