Easter Bingo – Saturday 12th April, eyes down 7.30pm

Eyes down for a Springtime evening of fun and prizes at the Village Hall on Saturday 12th April!

Easter Hols would not be the same without our bingo ‘master’, Sprog (aka Francis Dillon-Thiselton), hosting this entertaining evening!

Fantastic prizes, and there’s also a raffle – for yet more lovely prizes.

Doors open at 7pm – £6 for a book of games.

Cash bar – free interval nibbles.

Gardeners’ Question Time – Thurs 10th April, 6.30pm for 7pm

Spring has sprung! and Lurgashall Horticultural Club is delighted to welcome everyone to this year’s Gardeners’ Question Time at the Village Hall.

This year’s panelists are:

TESS MILLS The Garden Studio
Tess has been a professional horticulturalist for the past 20 years, working in private and public gardens including The Royal Botanic Garden, Kew. As a recent graduate of the London school of Garden Design, her quest is to create beautiful gardens for her clients.
Areas of expertise – general gardening & garden design.

PHILIP AUSTIN Head gardener at Selham House
Philip has over 40 years’ experience in the Horticultural industry. He studied at Oaklands college of Horticulture and has 30 years’ experience as a Head Gardener, most recently at Selham House which is currently undergoing a huge house and garden renovation and re-design.
Areas of expertise – general gardening and Beekeeping.

JEAN GRIFFIN Garden expert for BBC Radio Kent/ Surrey/ Sussex
Jean studied horticulture at Studley College, Warwickshire and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. She was head of Horticulture and Special Needs at Brinsbury College. She has worked for BBC radio since the 1970’s, and describes herself as a ‘plant-a-holic’!
Areas of expertise – plants and gardening for the Disabled.

MARK SAUNDERS Head gardener at Fittleworth House
Mark has been a professional gardener for 43 years, the last 27 as head gardener at Fittleworth House. He is an experienced lecturer, photographer and member of the Professional Gardeners Guild and National Dahlia Society executive committee.
