The Village Hall Management Committee has decided not to re-open the Hall for the time being and will review the situation at its next meeting in mid-January.
We understand that village halls in ‘tier 2’ areas are permitted to re-open, as long as they follow covid-secure guidelines. But, while we recognise that the Hall’s primary purpose is to provide a community hub for local activities, we also need to err on the side of caution in order to protect our many older residents.
Sadly, there will be no Christmas Bingo, Christmas Lunch or Christmas Day drinks this year, so all in all, it was felt better – and safer – to keep the Hall closed for now.
We look forward to welcoming you back to our Village Hall as soon as possible in 2021 and to showing you how smart the Hall looks after its redecoration!
Please check with the Booking Secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are considering organising an event at the Hall in 2021.
Thank you again for your understanding and support.
