On the 26th, our AFTERNOON TEA is a Bring-and-Buy in aid of MACMILLAN.

Village Hall Dates for your Diaries in July and August

July-Aug 2018It’s high summer and halfway through the year already!

But the Village Hall is still busy:
Apart from the regular monthly Film Nights and Afternoon Teas,
the *VILLAGE LUNCH* Ladies invite you to ‘Bring a Friend for Free’ to their delicious Lunch on 9th July – surely an invitation not to be declined!

The *VILLAGE HALL* AGM on 10th July is a Public Meeting, so do come along to support all those on the Management Committee who work so hard to keep our Village Hall alive and buzzing!
On 11th July there is a *PARISH COUNCIL* Meeting, which is open to the public.  Both organisations value YOUR input.

And before we know it, it will be August, so we hope everyone is busy in their gardens, potting sheds and kitchens getting ready to exhibit at our 35th Annual *HORTICULTURAL SHOW* on Saturday 18th August.  And there are fun classes for children to enter, too.  (Schedules available from the Village Shop.)

Village Hall Dates for your Diaries in May and June

May-June 2018In the Village Hall it’s AGM time: May sees the Parish Council AGM; and the LRA AGM is in June.  Both meetings are open to the public.
So do PLEASE come along to have YOUR say. Both organisations need YOUR input.

May’s film will be “Dunkirk”; June’s film to be decided.

The LRA (Lurgashall Recreation Association) is holding its popular fundraising supper and Quiz Night on Saturday 5 May – postponed from earlier in the spring due to the inclement weather.  If you would like to attend, please contact Malcolm Caird.
