For as little as £1 per month (minimum three months), you can help support our Village Hall as a vital hub for the community.

Film Night Special – “Edie” – and meet the Producer – Fri. 28 September

We are thrilled to have this film’s producer, Mark Stothert, join us for this special screening of the new film, “Edie” .  He will introduce the film and then take questions at the end.

83 year old Edie believes that it is never too late – packing an old camping bag, leaving her life behind and embarking on an adventure she never got to have – climbing the imposing Mount Suilven in Scotland.

This touching film stars the indomitable Sheila Hancock, with Kevin Guthrie.

His 35 year career has focused on SPORTS photography and SPORTING PERSONALITIES, world TRAVEL and coverage of NEWS events with the UN and UNICEF.

Come and hear him talk about his work – his experiences of the shoot; the ethics of photography and the changes that digital technology has brought.
And just enjoy seeing his wonderful photographs…!

Sept-Oct 2018This September is a busy month for the Village Hall.
Apart from the usual events, on FRIDAY 14th, we have an evening with master-photographer, JON NICHOLSON (see separate post).
On the 26th, our AFTERNOON TEA is a Bring-and-Buy in aid of MACMILLAN.
On the 27th, the Parish Council has a meeting open to the public – do come along and have your say!
*FILM NIGHT SPECIAL* on FRIDAY, 28th, when we are screening ‘EDIE’ a wonderful new film starring Shelia Hancock. We’re thrilled to say that the film’s producer, MARK STOTHERT, will be here with us to introduce the film, and take questions afterwards.
