Snow – and a Postponement

Snowy Lurgashall 2 Mar20182 March 2018 – Lurgashall Village is carpeted in snow and looks wonderfully picturesque, but…. it’s not easy for many villagers, and so neighbours are out in force to make sure that everyone is safe, warm and well.

Meanwhile, the ‘makeover’ to the Village Shop continues, in spite of the wintry weather, and the large team of volunteers are well on schedule to have the shop re-furbished, re-stocked and open again for business on Monday 5 March.

However, one casualty of the snow – our village is virtually cut off – is the LRA Quiz Night on Sat 3 March.  This will now be re-scheduled for sometime in May.

Village Hall Dates for your Diaries in March and April

Mar-Apr 2018***STOP PRESS***

Because of the snow, the village is today (2 March) more or less cut off, so the LRA Quiz night will NOT now happen on 3 March and will be re-scheduled for sometime in May.

Despite some gloriously sunny days, so far 2018 has been wet and windy and now cold and snowy – in short, a typical English winter!
But our Village Hall is always warm and dry and welcoming, and, as you can see, we have lots planned for your entertainment over the next couple of months.
MARCH *specials* include the L.R.A Quiz Night (in aid of the Jubilee Field).
As well as our usual monthly Film Night (when we shall be showing the new ‘Murder on the Orient Express’) we have a Sunday Matinee screening of ”Paddington 2′.
And then there’s Rose & Sprog’s unmissable Easter Bingo!

APRIL offers the Horticultural Club’s Spring Show, (STOP PRESS: change of date to Fri. 13 April); and the LRA AGM, when we’ll hear the latest news of what’s going on in the Jubilee Field….

Details of all events to follow soon – so WATCH THIS SPACE – and keep supporting your Village Hall!
