New Village Hall website is launched!

Lurgashall Village Hall is pleased and proud to launch its new website!

This is very much a work-in-progress, but our aims are to:

  • keep you up-to-date with what’s on at the Village Hall
  • attract hirers, users and visitors from the village and further afield
  • link in with social media via Facebook’s Lurgashall Page
  • develop the Village Hall as a vibrant hub for our community

We’re not website experts (yet!) so please bear with us, but we welcome any comments for improving what we’ve done so far or adding new things.

Macmillan Coffee Morning – Wed 27 September, 10.30am

Macmillan Coffee Morning 27 Sept 2017Cancer has touched most of our lives in some way or another, and Macmillan Cancer Support has always been a great support to us and our loved ones.
Now it’s OUR chance to support THEM.
So, this month, instead of our usual Afternoon Tea on Wednesday 27th September, the Village Hall Tea ladies will be joining in the ‘WORLD’S BIGGEST COFFEE MORNING’ in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
From 10.30 am until 12 noon, they will be providing tea and coffee and their usual luscious home-made cakes, of course! Do come along and support.

“Whose Wine is it, Anyway?” – Sat 23 Sept 2017

Whose wine is it anyway Sept 2017If you thought wine tasting was only for the serious wine buffs, then Lurgashall’s upcoming fun event “Whose Wine is it, Anyway?” will prove otherwise!

This is how it works… you taste the wines, the panel of “experts” (a.k.a. the Grape Nuts) describe each wine, then you decide which member of the panel is giving the correct description.

If you came to this event at Lurgashall Village Hall last year, you will certainly remember the laughter rolling around the hall as the wines were tasted and appraised.

This light-hearted evening of wine-tasting fun will be held on Saturday 23 September, 7.30pm for 8pm start, at Lurgashall Village Hall.

Tickets are £7.50 each and are available from Lurgashall Village Shop, or Ray Cooper 01428 707596, or on the door. Proceeds go towards the upkeep of the village hall.
